Dr. Jim Toner, MD, Ph.D., is a Reproductive Specialist at the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is known best for his research on the evaluation of ovarian reserve and its impact on fertility.
He graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a B.S. in Psychology then attended the Medical Scientist Training program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He received his MD and Ph.D. degrees in 1985. He completed his Residency and Fellowship training at the Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia, where he joined the faculty. While there, Dr. Toner was acknowledged for his teaching and received Resident of the Year Award and was inducted into a medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He was promoted to Associate Professor during his 15 years in Norfolk.
Dr. Jim Toner has done extensive research and has investigated reproductive medicine regarding ovarian stimulation. He is knowledgeable about recurrent miscarriages and takes special care in the emotional aspect of his patients regarding the infertility treatment process. Each of his patients have unique cases, which is why he treats them with an individualized approach.
He has published over 100 abstracts and many articles on reproductive medicine earning many awards such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ Ciba-Geigy Award, which is a prestigious award, the Berlex Foundation Faculty Development Award, and has been awarded the “First Prize Paper” two times at the profession’s national meeting. Dr. Jim Toner is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and also served as President with the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology.

He has performed acupuncture, donor egg collection, in vitro fertilization, integrated yoga therapy, and many more procedures.
