Winter in Bishkek

One of the things I miss most about Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, was the winter.  It was so beautiful after getting it’s first snowfall.  I took this picture back in December, 1999, when I was leaving Kyrgyzstan for Turkey.

Korean Salads at the Osh Bazaar

One of my all time favorites are the Korean salads, including kimchee, at the Osh Bazaar.  You can hardly have a meal without Korean salads anymore in Central Asia.

I visited the famous Osh Bazaar in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  It is probably one of the busiest locations in Bishkek.  Vendors arrive with products shipped from throughout Central Asia.
