Traffic jams are normal occurrences in Saigon, Vietnam, now.  I took this picture about one hour ago near the Pham Ngu Lao Backpacker Area in District 1.  The intersection was backed up, it needed two traffic police to direct traffic during rush hour.  Nobody heeds the traffic lights but they must heed the traffic police or pay a hefty fee and possibly lose their motorbike.

This traffic jam was interesting since you could feel Xmas in the air…
