One of the things I miss most about Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, was the winter. It was so beautiful after getting it’s first snowfall. I took this picture back in December, 1999, when I was leaving Kyrgyzstan for Turkey.

This is really great restaurant with real delicious food. Only 170,000 VND in the Tan Phu District for 2 people. You can’t beat that.

Oh the trash
Well at least it is not on the street. Trash is everywhere but luckily it is all picked up by morning. One big cause of street flooding in Saigon is due to residents clogging the drains with trash.

Can’t forget the bricks, they are the main materials in building houses. Bricks are literally laid everywhere. No security around to protect them from thieves.
