Winter in Bishkek
One of the things I miss most about Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, was the winter. It was so beautiful after getting it’s first snowfall. I took this picture back in December, 1999, when I was leaving Kyrgyzstan for Turkey.SaigonNezumi.com and GoHalalVietnam!
I took the escalators up which is a major feat since I am terrified of heights…
I took this shot from the Resco Building. The windows were a bit dirty but I still like the photo.
I now take pictures so I can remember where I park my motorbike. One day it took me nearly 30 minutes to find my bike.
This is really great restaurant with real delicious food. Only 170,000 VND in the Tan Phu District for 2 people. You can’t beat that.
Well at least it is not on the street. Trash is everywhere but luckily it is all picked up by morning. One big cause of street flooding in Saigon is due to residents clogging the drains with trash.
Can’t forget the bricks, they are the main materials in building houses. Bricks are literally laid everywhere. No security around to protect them from thieves.
With construction, sand and gravel are needed to make cement. You see it everywhere. It is one of the main reason for the dust in the city.
